American architect Frank Lloyd Wright loved Arizona and it was in northeast Scottsdale that he created one of his most stunning masterpieces, Taliesin West, a complex of buildings that served as his personal home, studio and architectural campus. Visit the Cabaret Cinema, Music Pavilion, Seminar Theater, Wright's private office and the famous living room — all linked by dramatic terraces, gardens
and walkways overlooking the rugged Sonoran Desert and Valley below. Knowledgeable guides will explain how the architecture relates to the natural desert and provide an overview of Wright's basic theory of design.
The tour will depart from the Phoenix Convention Center at 8:15 Monday morning and return by 12:15 PM.*

The internationally acclaimed Heard Museum is one of the best places to experience the fascinating cultures and art of the Native Americans of the Southwest. Large collections of artifacts, including baskets, jewelry, Kachina dolls, pottery, and textiles are represented along with examples of traditional and contemporary Native American fi ne art, including paintings and sculpture. "Our Voices, Our Land" and "Home" is a continuous sound and image presentation that greets visitors as they enter "Native Peoples of the Southwest". The combination of images, music, and artifacts illustrates the deep relationship between the Southwest's land and people.
